Yi is a dynamic Organization that brings together and harness the power of the Youth in our Nation and channelize their efforts and energy towards becoming “THE VOICE OF YOUNG INDIA.”
Started in 1996 as the Young Business Committee of CII and became an Independent Organization in December2002Yi's work is divided primarily into three groups;
An integral part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) , Yi has a focus on nation building & individual development. Being a part of Yi entails a mix of learning, giving back to society, retreats, students and farmers, grassroots engagement, international exposure and networking with peers.
Yi is one of the Founding members of the G20 Young Entrepreneur Alliance. The Commonwealth-Asia Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAAYE) is a network of young entrepreneurs and the (CAAYE) is a network of young entrepreneurs and the organizations that support them. Yi is a founding member of CAAYE.

Among the older chapters in the south, the founding leadership at Young Indians Bengaluru was Mr Sandeep Maini. Young Indians Bengaluru is a unique organisation that blends personal development, networking opportunities with like minded peers and an oppurtunity to give back to society.
The chapter has had a diverse membership profile with many innovative programmes and projects. From visits to ISRO and Infosys; to talks by Mr Charu Sharma and a workshop on, “Motorsports in India”, to GrowhtHack a National Entrepreneurship Summit, display the diverse interests that the chapter has catered to.
