Learning

To become the leaders of tomorrow , we would need to improve our knowledge through visits and interactions with peers. The learning vertical organises interactive sessions, summits and visits to industries and organisations for our members.
The difference between school and life? In school, you’re taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you’re given a test that teaches you a lesson.
This quote perfectly sums up what I want to talk about learning.

As a child, we are thought a set of lessons in school that assumingly get us ready to step into the real world. But school doesn’t really prepare us for what exists out there. It is the experience that we gain from people around us and the successes and failures we encounter in life, that help us learn a little more each day. Learning isn’t the objective here, it is the process. The human experience – whether with ones self or people around is what truly teaches us how to really live. What we choose to do with those experiences is entirely our own choice. Life doesn’t come with an instruction manual – there isn’t a right or wrong.
Living each day with the knowledge that you have learnt something new is enriching enough for the mind. If we backtrack into what traditional schooling methods looked like, we would see and still continue to see the focus mainly on linguistic and logical teaching, which uses a limited range of learning techniques. However, learning techniques extracted from life and human experiences are what truly help us in the journey of life. Things we learn by seeing and observing, things we hear, things we speak and read, things we feel – in short sensory learning is what helps us grow as individuals.
In short, we have to tune our minds to learn not for school, but for life. While school gets you ready for a job on paper, experience teaches you how to live that job. Learn with the aim that each day is more enriching than the previous, and you are a lot smarter today than you were yesterday!
